Night Life
Many excellent local restaurants and low-key tapas bars. You'll be sharing them with the locals, so you can be sure that this kind of nightlife is the real Spain.
In Summer, the Chiringuito LaRena on the beach, Pedro serves spicy Indian food and music every Thursday night, Argentinean steak and sausage on Friday nights; Saturday night is the time for aromatic lamb couscous with haunting Moroccan music, and on Sundays Pedro makes Mexican food. After the meal, the disco begins, moving and shaking until the bleary-eyed dawn calls time.
Be there on Friday nights at Luz de Mar at the Marina, from October to Easter. La Passerella, the Italian restaurant, will be open during the cooler months, from Thursdays through to Sundays for lunch-time and evening meals. There is so much going on here.
Islantilla
A livelier beach than most on the Costa De La Luz, Islantilla offers sailing,
canoeing, surfing, a dive school and even crewed boat rentals for fishing
enthusiasts. At night-time, again, the big hotels offer the usual kind of
entertainment fare.
