On the Costa de la Luz, about 50 kilometres from the Spanish/Portuguese border, is a fishing village called El Rompido. It is a special spot, a sheltered harbour.
El Rompido is a small fishing village with a large and very important ruin of a Roman castle, and the Convent of Las Mercades.
