Getting to the Costa de la Luz from:
Malaga Airport
There are two ways to reach Cádiz Province from Malaga. In high season,the Costa del Sol is very congested and it could be wise to take the inland motorway towards Sevilla (the E15). You leave this motorway at j.37 for Utrera and join the Sevilla – Cádiz motorway ( E5/A4). This route is almost always quiet. The A4 section is a toll road. This journey should take 2.5-3hours.
At other times, the Costa del Sol route is quicker. This is because a new road has been opened from La Línea near Gibraltar to Jeréz via Medina Sidonia. This is an excellent road as it avoids much of the heavy traffic between Algeciras and Cádiz. Coming from Costa del Sol, go west past Gibraltar on the A7/N340, take junction 110 onto the A381 to los Barrios/ Jeréz.This is a dual carriageway. The journey should take 2-2.5 hours.
